Technical Manager USA and Canada
Function
  • Makes Biobest the leading player in terms of high-quality tailor-made technical advice in biocontrol/pollination
  • Coordinates and coaches a team of technical advisors:
    • Organizes regular technical team meetings
    • Defines common strategies in connection with a “biocontrol as a first line of defence” approach
    • Is responsible for the allocation of Distributors and Key accounts to technical team members
    • Sets operational and reporting standards for the team and ensures compliance with these standards
    • Builds a team with a positive team spirit and with high technical and ethical standards
       
  • Ensures a seamless cooperation between the technical team and the commercial teams (East and West).
  • Organizes technical workshops for growers, gives presentations to growers and distributors
  • Interacts with the designated Biobest Belgium Technical Team member acting as a liason person with North America and with the Coordinator of the Technical Team at Biobest Belgium
  • Interacts with Biobest’s internal R&D in North America and across the globe, with a view to be able to optimally bring Biobest knowledge and innovations to market in North America.
  • Develops new technical strategies and implements demonstration trials for new technologies/approaches
  • Co-develops in collaboration with BB knowledge & training center technical needs/tools to assist the technical consultants (Posters, presentations, CIS, … )
  • Interacts with marketing to identify success-stories that can be the basis for testimonials or other publications
  • Co organizes the annual International Technical Meeting.
  • Reports to the General Manager USA/Canada

  • Passionate about biological control in a commercial production setting
  • Good communicator with effective presentations skills
  • Well organized
  • Critical mindset, eager to learn and innovate
  • Capability to lead and coach a team
  • Willing to travel extensively
