  Voracious on several crops
 

Caterpillar damage usually occurs in late summer and early autumn, but recently some caterpillars have been causing problems throughout the growing season. There are several biological control methods of caterpillar control.

 

  The difference between several species of tortrix moths (Tortricidae):

brown ground colour, two brown oblique cross borders.
like male but a bit bigger, front wing a bit more pointed.

brown ground colour, brown cross borders only marked, rear wing orange at the basis.
   
like male but clearly bigger, front wing pointed, rear wing almost completely orange.
